Remove filler words from any transcript
Paste text from Zoom, Otter, a voice note or dictation. The “um”s and “uh”s go, a spoken “comma” becomes a comma, and “three thirty pm” becomes 3:30 PM. It runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
Your text stays on this device. No signup, no upload, no limit.
Get clean text while you talk
Speaketti does this in any Mac app as you speak: hold fn, talk, and clean text appears where your cursor is. Speak one of 24 other languages and it writes English.
What the filler word remover fixes
| Fix | You paste | You get |
|---|---|---|
| Fillers | uh I think um we're ready to ship | I think we're ready to ship. |
| Punctuation | ship it comma then ping me period | Ship it, then ping me. |
| Times | the call is at nine thirty am | The call is at 9:30 AM. |
| Money and percent | it costs four hundred dollars comma up twenty percent | It costs $400, up 20%. |
| Corrections | send it friday scratch that thursday | Send it Thursday. |
| Emoji | great job team party popper emoji | Great job team 🎉 |
How it works
This is the same cleanup Speaketti runs on your Mac after you speak, rule for rule. It removes hesitation sounds (um, uh, er, hmm), turns spoken punctuation into real marks, writes times, money, percentages and big numbers as digits, drops the words before “scratch that”, and fixes capitals for “I”, weekdays and months.
It's careful with words that only look like fillers. “A period of time” and “the comma key” stay as words, “uh-huh” stays, and “like” is kept unless you switch on Like, you know, I mean. Then it's removed only where commas set it off, so “I like it” survives.
Everything happens in your browser. The text you paste never leaves your device, the same way Speaketti never sends your voice anywhere.
Questions
What are filler words?
Sounds people make while they think: um, uh, er, hmm. They're normal in speech and noise in writing. This tool removes them from transcripts and dictated text.
Does it remove “like” and “you know”?
Only if you switch on Like, you know, I mean. Those words can carry meaning (“I like it”), so they're removed only where commas set them off, the way transcripts write them when they're fillers.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The cleanup runs in your browser. Nothing you paste leaves your device, and there's no signup or limit.
What does “scratch that” do?
It drops the words you're correcting: “send it friday scratch that thursday” becomes “Send it Thursday.” Said on its own, it drops the whole last phrase.
Can it fix dictation that typed “comma” or “period” as words?
Yes. Comma, period, full stop, question mark, exclamation mark, colon, semicolon, new line and new paragraph become the real marks. “A period of time” and “the comma key” stay as words.
Which languages does it clean?
This free tool cleans English text. The Speaketti Mac app cleans English dictation and turns 24 other languages, from Spanish to Ukrainian, into clear English as you speak.
How is this different from Speaketti?
It's the same cleanup, here for text you already have. Speaketti does it while you talk, in any Mac app: hold fn, speak, and clean text appears where your cursor is. It runs offline on your Mac.
